Zurich Resilience Solutions Canada, through its affiliate SpearTip, now offers expanded cyber services to address critical exposures and vulnerabilities for enhanced business protection
Toronto, ON – Zurich Canada announced today that it is leveraging the expertise of SpearTip, a cyber counterintelligence firm and a company of Zurich, to enhance its support for customers in the Canadian market. SpearTip offers proactive and responsive services to help protect customers against cyber threats.
In 2023, Zurich North America acquired SpearTip to expand their cyber risk mitigation services. With this move, Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS), a global division of Zurich's Commercial Insurance business, can now offer customers expanded risk mitigation services in an era where companies are exposed to a wide variety of vulnerabilities that pose existential threats.
“Cybersecurity is among the top concerns for senior management and boards,” said Head of ZRS Canada, Denise Gaeta. “Building on SpearTip’s technical capabilities and service excellence, we look forward to growing together to expand our capabilities and make our cyber services even stronger for our Canadian customers.”
ZRS Canada offers a range of corporate cybersecurity solutions to help businesses guard against cyber risks. They also provide consultative support to enhance overall cyber resilience.
SpearTip has been providing cybersecurity solutions in the United States since 2005, helping companies identify their cyber risks and vulnerabilities. They offer services in three main functional areas: Managed Detection and Response/Security Operations Centre Service, Incident Response, and Advisory Services.
“The rise of new technologies and digital transformation has made businesses increasingly vulnerable to cybercrime, exacerbated by remote working and cloud migration,” said Dan Elliott, Principal, Cybersecurity Risk Advisor, ZRS Canada. “By investing in robust cybersecurity measures, organizations can ensure that they are well-equipped to handle the evolving environment of cyber threats and safeguard their reputation, assets, and customers.”
By tapping into SpearTip's capabilities, ZRS Canada is able to effectively meet the increasing demand for comprehensive cyber risk management support, particularly in the face of a challenging risk landscape. As businesses grapple with the challenges presented by cyber risks, ZRS Canada's expanded offerings provide enhanced protection and readiness to address evolving threats with confidence.
